According to the video, here are the steps to follow:
Step I: For the backdrop, use any black wall or door.
Step II: Choose a portrait mode and lower the exposure. Click the picture.
Step III: Open the photo in an editing app called Photoleap (it's free).
Step IV: Click on the layers icon.

Step VI: Click on the filters icon.
