Jim Cramer Discusses Boeing 737 Max, COVID-19 Vaccines

CNBC's Jim Cramer gave his first take on the markets Wednesday morning and discussed vaccine companies and the news of the 737 Max.

Cramer on Vaccines: Cramer discussed companies in the COVID-19 vaccine market, which includes Pfizer Inc PFE, BioNTech SE BNTX, Johnson & Johnson JNJ and Moderna Inc MRNA.

“These are not fly by night companies; they’re the best we have," he said.

Cramer said Americans are going to have a good chance to get a COVID-19 vaccine in three months: “Give it to me.”

Cramer said there are people who still believe COVID-19 is nothing and they will not get the vaccine when approved.

Cramer said he once got the flu from a flu vaccine and the mild side effects from a potential COVID-19 vaccine outweigh the risks of contracting Covid-19.

Cramer on Boeing: Cramer discussed the news that Boeing Company BA received clearance from the FAA for its 737 Max plane to fly again.

“That plane is the safest plane I’ve ever seen,” Cramer said, referring to the amount of testing and safety regulations the plane has gone under.

Cramer said some travelers may be hesitant to go on the plane in the future, but most travelers choose based on airline and don’t ask what plane they are flying on.

“If they want to travel, they’ll be on it.”

Cramer said people begin to forget and he thinks Boeing could phase out the Max name in the future and rename the plane.

Price Action: Shares of Boeing are up 7% to $225.49 in pre-market trading.
