The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Nonmetallic Mineral Mining: This industry slipped 2.4 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Hongli Clean Energy Technologies Corp CETC, which fell 4.6 percent. Hongli Clean Energy Technologies shares have jumped 794.74 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 11.75 percent in the same period.
  • Aerospace/Defense Products & Services: This industry declined 1.7 percent by 11:00 am with Lockheed Martin Corporation LMT moving down 4.5 percent. Lockheed Martin shares have climbed 19.83 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 11.75 percent in the same period.
  • Computer Peripherals: The industry dropped 1.6 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (USA) MCZ, which declined 5.4 percent.
