As part of the company's presentation, management teased its fan base with new information about its upcoming video game, "Super Mario Run." The game is a new action style format optimized for smart devices and can be played with one hand.
The game will be launched in December and is already well received by gamers, as more than 20 million people across the world signed up to receive notifications for news updates.
Nintendo initially said the game will be released in more than 100 countries, but the company's presentation on Thursday revealed a 150-country release. However, the initial release will just be available for iPhone and iPad users. The timing of an Android release hasn't been set yet.
The game itself will be free to download but the app will support purchases inside the game. However, only after gamers pay a set purchase price will all of the content be available. At that point, users can then play the game without worrying about extra fees.
