This press conference is a regular follow-up designed to offer more transparency for the central bank. Earlier in their official statement the Federal Reserve stated the following:

• FOMC Maintains Federal Funds Range of 0.25 Percent To 0.50 Percent
• Fed Sees Near-Term Risks to Economy; Roughly Balanced
• Fed Says Household Spending Has Been Growing Strongly, Labor Market Continues To Strengthen
