  • Guess?, Inc. (NYSE: GES) shares rose 17.8 percent to $17.55 in pre-market trading after the company reported better-than-expected Q2 earnings and raised earnings forecast for FY 2017. However, the company missed analysts’ sales estimates.
  • Tilly's Inc (NYSE: TLYS) shares rose 13 percent to $8.00 in pre-market trading after the company posted better-than-expected quarterly results. B. Riley upgraded Tilly's from Neutral to Buy.
  • Ballard Power Systems Inc. (USA) (NASDAQ: BLDP) rose 10.6 percent to $2.20 in the pre-market trading as the company reported that its unit Protonex has unveiled clean energy fuel cell propulsion systems for civilian unmanned vehicles.
  • Workday Inc (NYSE: WDAY) shares rose 9.5 percent to $87.25 in pre-market trading. Workday reported a wider-than-expected loss for its second quarter, but sales exceeded analysts’ expectations. The company also issued a weak revenue outlook for the current quarter.
  • Edap Tms SA (ADR) (NASDAQ: EDAP) rose 8.4 percent to $3.35 in pre-market trading. EDAP posted Q2 earnings of EUR 0.08 per share on revenue of EUR 8.2 million.
  • Tiffany & Co. (NYSE: TIF) rose 4.5 percent to $71.95 in the pre-market trading session as the company produced mixed results for the second quarter. While its earnings came in above the estimates, sales missed expectations. The company maintained its full year revenue and EPS forecast.
  • Burlington Stores Inc (NYSE: BURL) rose 3.8 percent to $81.50 in pre-market trading as the company reported better-than-expected Q2 earnings.
  • Mylan NV (NASDAQ: MYL) rose 3.7 percent to $44.76 in pre-market trading. Mylan, announced on Thursday an initiative in which it will cover up to $300 of out-of-pocket expenses through the use of a savings card. Mylan's announcement effectively reduced by 50 percent the cost exposure for many patients who were previously paying the full list price for the EpiPen.
  • KongZhong Corporation (ADR) (NASDAQ: KZ) shares rose 3.6 percent to $6.64 in pre-market trading as the company reported the receipt of revised non-binding proposal from Chairman CEO Mr. Leilei Wang to acquire the company for $7.18 per ADS in cash.

  • Resolute Energy Corp (NYSE: REN) shares fell 2 percent to $17.52 in the pre-market trading session after the company reported the retirement of its CEO Nicholas J. Sutton.
