JetBlue Introduces Mint to Grenada In Latest Premium Service Expansion

JetBlue Airways Corporation JBLU disclosed Wednesday that it was ready to provide its successful Mint premium service to Grenada commencing from next year. According to the company, Grenada would become the fifth Mint market in the region. JetBlue said that Mint flights were on sale commencing on July 20 and would operate on Saturdays between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Grenada's Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) seasonally until April 2017. The company's VP network planning, Dave Clark, said, "We are thrilled to introduce Mint to a fifth Caribbean route, where customers are paying too much for so-called premium service. Our customers are quickly discovering Grenada and its world class beaches, attractions, and luxury resorts. Now customers traveling between New York and this Caribbean gem can enjoy the finest service and comfort during their flight." The airline firm launched Mint in 2014 on transcontinental flights between busy east and west coast cities. It could win over travelers in no time thus outperforming financial expectations and stimulated a fresh premium market for travel. The launch of Mint to Caribbean last year enabled JetBlue quickly realize that leisure customers were also craving a higher level of service. JetBlue said that travelers to Grenada would enjoy the longest fully-flat bed in the domestic premium market. That included four private suites, and a 15-inch flat screen with complimentary entertainment options. The stock edged up by 0.05 percent on Wednesday.
