The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Consumer Services: This industry slipped 1.2 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Intersections Inc. INTX, which fell 3.7 percent. Intersections shares have dropped 4.82 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 1.44 percent in the same period.
  • Processed & Packaged Goods: This industry declined 0.6 percent by 11:00 am with John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. JBSS moving down 2.2 percent. John B. Sanfilippo & Son shares have declined 16.86 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 1.44 percent in the same period.
  • Telecom Services - Domestic: This industry fell 0.5 percent by 11:00 am ET. Otelco Inc OTEL shares dropped 5.2 percent in today's trading. Otelco is expected to release its 2016 Q2 financial and operational results on August 2, 2016.
  • Cigarettes: The industry dropped 0.4 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Philip Morris International Inc. PM, which declined 0.4 percent.
