Mesa Labs Pays about 22% Of Its Profit As Dividend


Mesa Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ: MLAB) revealed Wednesday that its board has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.16 per share. On a full year basis, this worked out to $0.64 a share. It also represented that 22 percent of its profit were paid as dividend, which was also lower than the five-year average dividend payout ratio of 24.0 percent.

Mesa Laboratories has fixed August 31 as the record date for determining the eligible shareholders. The dividend would be paid on September 15.

The company has been increasing its dividend rate in the last eight straight years. As a result, its five-year average dividend growth rate was 6.40 percent while the three-year average growth rate was 5.2 percent.
