As many of the big networks begin to huddle regarding the new fall season, Twenty-First Century Fox Inc FOXA has made official what has long been assumed about two of its highly-buzzed about pilots. The network on Wednesday officially ordered to series "24" reboot "Legacy" and a second music–driven drama from visionary showrunner Lee Daniels.

"24: Legacy" was never expected not to be given the greenlight as its development was fueled by the success of 2014's "24: Live Another Day" re-boot. The 12-episode series will be the first "24" project not to feature series star Kiefer Sutherland, who instead will segway to a behind-the-scenes role. Rising star Corey Hawkins will take over lead responsibilities and will be joined by Miranda Otto and Jimmy Smits.

While "Star" wasn't always a lock, it was always very promising as it comes from Lee Daniels who is behind the network's mega-hit "Empire." Similar in tone, "Star" follows a Atlanta based female music group as they maneuver the pitfalls of the record industry. Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Nicholas Gonzalez and Lenny Kravitz comprise the cast.

The networks official reveal their new fall schedules during May's upfront week in New York.
