Volkswagen CEO: 'We Are Not In Talks With Apple Or Google'

Volkswagen AG (ADR) VLKAY's CEO Matthias Mueller confirmed his company is indeed engaged in conversations with external partners to create a digital mobility business. However, the executive said that the talks do not include Apple Inc. AAPL or Alphabet Inc GOOG GOOGL.

"Please understand if I cannot name these companies, but we are not in talks with Apple or Google," Reuters quoted the executive as saying at a press conference on Thursday.

Mueller also said that it is not yet known how long it would take to resolve regulatory issues in the United States.
