Lexmark International Inc LXK rose 10.59 percent to $38.33 in pre-market trading as the company confirmed it has entered into an agreement to be acquired by a consortium of investors, led by Apex Technology and PAG Asia Capital for $40.50 per share.

VMware, Inc. VMW shares rose 9.79 percent to $56.50 in pre-market trading as the company reported better-than-expected Q1 earnings. The company’s board of directors also authorized a $1.2 billion share buyback program.

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (USA) TSEM rose 4.99 percent to $12.00 in pre-market trading. TowerJazz is expected to issue its Q1 earnings release on May 9, 2016.

Chuy's Holdings Inc CHUY shares rose 3.53 percent to $30.18 in pre-market trading. S&P Dow Jones Indices announced that Chuy's Holdings will replace Heartland Payment Systems, Inc. HPY in the S&P SmallCap 600.

Kite Pharma Inc KITE rose 2.49 percent to $47.30 in pre-market trading after the company announced updated Phase 1 results from ZUMA-1 at the American Association of Cancer Research Annual Meeting.

Losers

CalAmp Corp. CAMP shares fell 11.02 percent to $15.51 in pre-market trading. CalAmp reported in-line Q4 earnings, but the company issued a weak forecast for the full year.

Intel Corporation INTC shares fell 2.03 percent to $30.96 in pre-market trading. Intel reported upbeat earnings for the first quarter, but the company issued a weak revenue forecast for the current quarter. The company will also reduce its workforce by 11 percent over the next year, which equates to about 12,000 jobs.

Boeing Co BA shares fell 2.17 percent to $129.80 in pre-market trading. Bank of America downgraded Boeing from Neutral to Underperform.

Randgold Resources Ltd. (ADR) GOLD shares fell 2.08 percent to $94.36 in pre-market trading after gaining 3.56 percent on Tuesday.
