Bio Blast Pharma Ltd ORPN shares rose 8.33 percent to $2.60 in pre-market trading after the company announced it will present final data from a Phase 2 clinical study at the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2016 Annual Meeting.The company completed a Phase 2 six-month trial of its HOPEMD therapy in patients with oculopharyngeal muscular dystrophy (OPMD).

Ariad Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ARIA rose 6.77 percent to $7.25 in pre-market trading after the company presented updated Phase 1/2 clinical data on Brigatinib. The company reported an overall survival rate in 100 percent crizotinib-naive patients, and 81 percent in patients with prior crizotinib treatment.

Expeditors International of Washington EXPD shares rose 2.03 percent to $49.69 in pre-market trading. Barclays upgraded Expeditors International from Equal-weight to Overweight and raised the price target from $51.00 to $58.00.

Polycom Inc PLCM shares rose 1.87 percent to $12.50 in pre-market trading after Mitel Networks announced plans to buy Polycom for around $1.96 billion in cash and stock.
