Tredegar Hires Michael Schewel As its VP General Counsel And Corporate Secretary

disclosed, in a statement, that it has hired Michael Schewel as its Vice President for General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. The appointment will take effect from May 9, according to the company. Tredegar said that Schewel has earlier worked with McGuireWoods LLP, a law firm, where his practice was focused on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and the development, as well as, financing of the industrial and energy projects. The company said that Schewel was named partner three decades ago and co-chaired the firm's corporate practice group for several years. The VP has also served as Secretary of Commerce and Trade for the commonwealth of Virginia between 2002 and 2006. Tradegear said that Schewel is serving on Market Corporation, as well as, Cadence, Inc. board. The stock has gained 0.39% on Monday morning.
