Disney, Tesla And 6 Other Stocks Moving In Monday's After-Hours Session

Shares of Tesla Motors Inc TSLA were trading down 2.4 percent, after the company’s first quarter deliveries missed estimates. The electric car maker delivered 14,820 vehicles in Q1 2016, falling short of its 16,000 unit guidance. According to the company, “The Q1 delivery count was impacted by severe Model X supplier parts shortages in January and February that lasted much longer than initially expected.”

Walt Disney Co DIS was down almost 1.5 percent after the bell rang. The decline was driven by news about the departure of Chief Operating Officer Thomas Staggs, effective May 6. After 26 years with the company, many expected Staggs to replace Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger when he left the position; Staggs will still serve as a special adviser to Iger through Disney’s fiscal year.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV FCAU was up more than 4 percent, possibly driven by news about FCA US LLC having posted an 8 percent year-over-year increase in U.S. light-vehicle sales to 213,187 vehicles in March of 2016. This marks the best March sales figure for the company in 10 years.

Other stocks moving on Monday’s after-hours session included:

  • Peabody Energy Corporation BTU, up about 4.45 percent
  • 58.com Inc (ADR) WUBA, down 1 percent
  • Petroleo Brasileiro SA Petrobras (ADR) PBR, down roughly 0.94 percent
