The Dow fell 0.70 percent to 16,954.23, while the NASDAQ composite index declined 0.89 percent to 4,666.43. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index dropped 0.90 percent to 1,983.68.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

Photographic Equipment & Supplies: This industry declined 7.8 percent by 11:00 am with GoPro Inc (NASDAQ: GPRO) moving down 9.6 percent. GoPro shares have tumbled 64.16 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has dropped 2.07 percent in the same period.

Synthetics: This industry fell 4.9 percent by 11:00 am ET. Axiall Corp (NYSE: AXLL) shares dropped 2.2 percent in today's trading. Axiall shares have dipped 54.25 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has declined 2.07 percent in the same period.

Cement: The industry dropped 3.5 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Cemex SAB de CV (ADR) (NYSE: CX), which declined 4.4 percent. Cemex shares have dropped 29.19 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has slipped 2.07 percent in the same period.

Regional Airlines: This industry slipped 2.9 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ: JBLU), which fell 7.2 percent. JetBlue expects Q1 revenue per available seat mile to drop 7 percent to 8 percent.
