A Coup For Yahoo: Berkshire's Annual Meeting Will Be Live Streamed For First Time In History

Investors who have always dreamed of attending Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE: BRK-A)'s annual general meeting will be happy to know that Yahoo! Inc. YHOO will offer a live stream of the event. For the first time ever, Berkshire Hathaway's annual shareholders meeting will be shown live as part of a partnership with Yahoo! Finance. The meeting is scheduled for April 30, 2016, which is expected to attract approximately 40,000 Berkshire Hathaway shareholders to attend the event that until now has been unavailable to the general public. Yahoo Finance has obtained the exclusive rights to broadcast the meeting and will be accessible across all devices. The stream will debut at 10:00 a.m. ET on the day of the event and will showcase notable landmarks, including Gorat's Steakhouse, Borsheim's, the Nebraska Furniture Mart, and the "carnival-like atmosphere" where many Berkshire subsidiaries will exhibit their products and services. Yahoo will offer video and display advertising and sponsorship opportunities alongside the live stream.
