US Stock Futures Flat Ahead Of Fed Meeting

US stock futures traded mostly flat in early pre-market trade. The Federal Open Market Committee will begin its two-day meeting today. The Consumer Price Index for August will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while the housing market index for September will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 1.5 points to 16,518.5, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 1.25 points to 1,968.75. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index gained 1 point to 4,352.00.

European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index jumping 1.21 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index rising 1.14 percent and German DAX 30 index gaining 0.47 percent. French CAC 40 Index jumped 1.22 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.81 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 0.81 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index jumped 2.38 percent, China's Composite Index Index climbed 4.89 percent and India's BSE Sensex surged 1 percent.

Analysts at Brean Capital upgraded

from Sell to Hold and raised the price target from $172.00 to $184.00. LinkedIn shares rose 0.63 percent to close at $195.48 on Tuesday.
