The Dow fell 1.08 percent to 17,584.83, while the NASDAQ composite index slipped 1.32 percent to 4,931.57. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index slipped 1.11 percent to 2,058.30.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

Nonmetallic Mineral Mining: This industry declined 4.2 percent by 11:00 am with SinoCoking Coal and Coke Chem Ind, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOK) moving down 15.5 percent. SinoCoking's trailing-twelve-month EPS is $0.16.

Semiconductor - Integrated Circuits: The industry dropped 2.6 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was MoSys Inc. (NASDAQ: MOSY), which declined 10.5 percent. MoSys' PEG ratio is -0.15.

Building Materials Wholesale: This industry tumbled 2.5 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (NYSE: LPX), which fell 2.6 percent. Louisiana-Pacific's trailing-twelve-month ROE is -8.20 percent.

Foreign Money Center Banks: This industry fell 2.4 percent by 11:00 am ET. Credit Suisse Group AG (ADR) (NYSE: CS) shares dropped 4.2 percent in today's trading. Credit Suisse shares have declined 1.46 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 5.50 percent in the same period.
