Lightinthebox Holding Co LITB said Wednesday, that Zhejiang Aokang Shoes Co Ltd has acquired approximately a 25.66% equity interest in LightInTheBox from shareholders at $6.30 per ADS. Lightinthebox shares gained 2.72% Wednesday, to close at $5.28. Tokio Marine Holdings to Acquire HCC Insurance Holdings for $78.00/Share in Cas The Deal:
Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc. TKOMY and HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. HCC announced Wednesday, that they have entered an agreement under which Tokio Marine will acquire all outstanding shares of HCC, for $78.00 per share in cash, via TMHD's wholly owned subsidiary, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. The transaction is valued at approximately $7.5 billion, is expected to close in Q4 of 2015. HCC shares rose 36% Wednesday, closing at $77.35. Microsoft Acquires Bluestripe The Deal:
Microsoft MSFT has acquired BlueStripe Software, a leading provider of application management technology. The acquisition was announced on the Bluestrip website. Terms were not disclosed. Microsoft shares gained 2% Wednesday, closing at $46.61. Ares in Talks to Acquire Kayne Anderson The Rumor:
Ares Management ARES is in talks to acquire Kayne Anderson KYN, according to sources as reported by Bloomberg. The talks are ongoing, but no deal has been reached yet, according to the sources. Spokespersons for Ares and Kayne Anderson declined comment on the rumor. Shares of Kayne Anderson MLP Investment Company lost almost 2% Wednesday, closing at $32.56. Renren Receives 'Going Private Proposal for $4.20/ADS in Cash The Going Private Proposal:
Renren Inc. RENN announced Wednesday, that its Board of Directors has received a non-binding "going private" proposal letter Joseph Chen, Chairman and CEO of Renren, and James Jian Liu, COO, to acquire all of the outstanding ordinary shares of the Company not already owned by Mr. Chen or Mr. Liu for $4.20 in cash per ADS. The Board intends to form a special committee to consider the proposal. Renren shares lost almost 3% Wednesday, closing at $3.99.
