US Stock Futures Edge Lower Ahead Of Factory Orders Data

US stock futures traded slightly lower in early pre-market trade. Data on motor vehicle sales for May will be released today. Data on factory orders for April will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 8.50 points to 18,014.50, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 3.30 points to 2,105.95. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index slipped 4.40 points to 4,517.10.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were mostly lower today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.80 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index falling 0.78 percent and German DAX 30 index dropping 0.74 percent. French CAC 40 Index slipped 0.13 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.42 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average fell 0.13 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.69 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index slipped 0.47 percent and India's BSE Sensex fell 2.37 percent.
