US Stock Futures Edge Higher

US stock futures traded slightly higher in early pre-market trade. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 15 points to 18,136.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 1.45 points to 2,109.95. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 4.55 points to 4,453.30.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were mixed today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.03 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index surging 0.06 percent and German DAX 30 index dropping 0.33 percent. French CAC 40 Index fell 1.32 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 2.43 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 1.25 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index jumped 3.04 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.51 percent and India's BSE Sensex jumped 1.48 percent.

Analysts at Baird upgraded
Caterpillar Inc. CAT
from Neutral to Outperform and raised the price target from $80.00 to $101.00. Caterpillar shares rose 0.79 percent to $88.00 in pre-market trading.
