today announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with Haggen, a West Coast grocery store chain, to be its largest ATM services provider. Cardtronics is the world's largest retail ATM owner/operator. According to the agreement, Cardtronics will install and operate 50 ATMs in Haggen's stores located throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona and Nevada. Cardtronics also has expansion rights for future Haggen locations. The stores will participate in the Allpoint Network, Cardtronics' surcharge-free ATM network. Haggen CEO Pacific Southwest Bill Shaner said: "As Haggen transitions from its Northwestern regional roots to a larger presence along the West Coast, it's important for us to provide a consistent, quality experience across both our new and legacy locations. A relationship with Cardtronics for ATM services will play an important role in helping us provide our customers with convenient access to cash." Cardtronics President, North American Business Group, David Dove said: "Cardtronics is committed to helping Haggen grow, by providing them with a high level of service and traffic-driving solutions such as Allpoint and ATM Branding. The Haggen locations will be an attractive branding opportunity for banks and credit unions looking to expand their presence into stores that are known for a high-quality, locally relevant experience."
