22% Of Benzinga Readers Would Theoretically Buy An Apple Watch

Recent polls have attempted to gauge the interest for the new Apple Inc. AAPL Watch.

Blogging site AVC recently conducted a poll to determine how many early adopters would jump on the Apple Watch bandwagon.

AVC’s survey found that out of 1,827 responses, 26 percent said they were likely to purchase the Apple Watch.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll from mid-March found that 6 percent of the 1,829 adults surveyed were interested in purchasing Apple’s latest device.

Benzinga decided to poll of its readers to see what kind of interest there was in the Apple Watch.

2,210 Benzinga readers responded to the question, “would you buy an Apple Watch?”

Of those who responded, 429  (21.7 percent) answered “Yes.”

The differences in surveys may largely be attributed to the demographics of the audience. The Reuters/Ipsos poll showed that "adults aged between 30 and 39 were the most likely buyers, with 13 percent saying they planed to buy an Apple Watch, followed by 10 percent of 18-to-29-year-olds."

The Watch is available for pre-orders on Apple’s website.

Apple recently traded at $125.63, down 0.43 percent.
