Nestle Q1 Sales Rise

reported a 0.5 percent rise in its sales for the first three months of 2015. Nestle posted sales of 20.92 billion Swiss francs ($21.86 billion) in the quarter, compared to 20.82 billion francs, in the year-ago period. Its organic growth came in at 4.4 percent in the first quarter. Analysts were estimating a growth of 4.3 percent. In February, the company had expected sales growth of around 5 percent this year. Nestle shares gained 1.58 percent to close at $79.94 yesterday.
