Shares of Chico's FAS Inc. CHS spiked higher after-hours Tuesday, on a report from the Wall Street Journal, that private-equity firm Sycamore Partners is in advanced talks to acquire the retailer. According to sources, the deal could be worth $3 billion. Chico's shares closed Tuesday at $17.25, and traded as high as $21.92 after-hours. Hearing Unconfirmed Market Chatter Garmin Rejected $64 Bid from Honeywell The Rumor:
Garmin Ltd. GRMN reportedly recently rejected a $64.00 per share stock & cash bid from from Honeywell International Inc. HON, according to unconfirmed market sources. Industry sources say that a deal for Garmin could be done above $70.00 per share. Spokespersons for Garmin and Honeywell were not available for comment.
