When asked about rumors that Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR) CEO Dick Costolo may not be with the company much longer, Quantum Trading Strategies CIO Sean Udall said he doesn’t think it matters whether he stays or goes.

Earlier Monday, SunTrust's Bob Peck said on CNBC that he thinks Costolo could be gone from Twitter within a year.

“The stock is overdue for a face ripper to the upside, so any positive rumor is likely to spur it higher,” he said.

Twitter closed Monday at $38.43, up 3.64 percent.

Udall did say that he thinks there are current and former tech CEOs who would put a further big run in the stock, such as someone like “an Eric Schmidt” of Google Inc.

“My view is Twitter is the only plus 100 percent revenue growth stock of its size or even amid companies half its size,” he said. “The negativity surrounding the name has been absurd.”

Twitter is part of the Vanguard Extended Market ETF(NYSE: VXF), which traded less than 1 percent higher today, as well as the First Trust DJ Internet Index Fund (NYSE: FDN) ETF, which traded up more than 1 percent.
