for around $7.5 billion, or approximately $100 per share according to the NY Times DealBook. A deal could be announced as early as next week, according to persons familiar with the matter. Cubist shares closed Friday at $74.36, down $0.16.

for $6.60 per share in cash, for a total equity value of approximately $330 million. OpenText will commence a tender offer for all of the shares of common stock of Actuate within 7 business days. The deal is expected to close in Q3 of OpenText's fiscal 2015. Actuate shares closed Friday at $6.55, a gain of 87%.
