Education Sector Socked As Corinthian College Announces Going-Concern Status

The education sector is red in mid-day trading Thursday after Corinthian Colleges COCO filed a report this morning with the SEC highlighting a concern over the company's staying power. In the 8-K filed the company highlighted the shortfall in the its cash flow that would require a bridge loan for the company to no longer be a going-concern.  

With two hours remaining in Thursday trading here's the education sector performance for today:

Career Education Corp CECO is down 9.36 percent to $4.84.

ITT Education Services ESI is down 5.84 percent o $17.24.

Strayer Education  STRA is down 4.55 percent to $53.03.

Apollo Education Group APOL is down 3.97 percent to $28.80.

Education Management EDMC is down 3.68 percent to $1.83.

Bridgepoint Education BPI is down 3.36 percent to $13.80.

American Public Education APEI is down 3 percent to $33.95.

DeVry Education Group DV is down 1.96 percent to $43.00.

National American University Holdings NAUH is up 0.31 percent to $3.19

Lincoln Education Services LINC is up 0.73 percent to $4.14.
