GM to Pay $35M Fine for Delays in Ignition-Switch Recall

General Motors agreed to pay a maximum $35 million fine to the top U.S. auto safety regulator, after the company failed to promptly disclose a defect with ignition switches used in 2.6 million vehicles worldwide.
