Wave Systems (NASDAQ: WAVX) rose 24.75% to $1.26 after the company and Micron Technology announced their collaboration to secure connected devices against emerging threats.

FX Energy (NASDAQ: FXEN) rose 20.53% to $3.91 after the company reported that the Tuchola-4K well reached its primary objective, the lower Zechstein Ca1 formation at 2,740 meters, 60 meters high to previous year's Tuchola-3K well.

Highpower International (NASDAQ: HPJ) shares gained 15.20% to $4.85. Highpower has become a supplier to SONY (NYSE: SNE) and has begun shipping products.

Versartis (NASDAQ: VSAR) surged 9.93% to $27.00. Citigroup initiated coverage on Versartis with a Buy rating and a $60.00 price target.

FedFirst Financial (NASDAQ: FFCO) shares surged 9.42% to $21.95 after the company and CB Financial Services agreed to merge in a cash and stock deal valued at $54.4 million.

Halozyme Therapeutics (NASDAQ: HALO) shares climbed 6.12% to $7.63. Citigroup initiated coverage on Halozyme Therapeuticswith a Buy rating and a $12.00 price target.

Organovo Holdings (NYSE: ONVO) shares gained 6.08% to $6.63 following response to 'Misleading, Inaccurate' reports.

Charles Schwab (NYSE: SCHW) rose 3.24% to $26.12 after the company reported a 58% gain in its first-quarter profit. Charles Schwab's quarterly profit surged to $326 million, or $0.24 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $206 million, or $0.15 per share.

Zebra Technologies (NASDAQ: ZBRA) rose 2.27% to $69.83 after the company announced its plans to buy Motorola's enterprise business from Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) for $3.45 billion. Zebra Tech also issued upbeat Q1 earnings forecast.

Pacific Continental (NASDAQ: PCBK) climbed 2.11% to $13.58 after dropping 1.55% on Monday. Pacific Continental is expected to report its Q1 earnings on April 17, 2014.

Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) jumped 1.65% to $29.54. Bank of America upgraded Morgan Stanley from Neutral to Buy.

Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (NYSE: POT) rose 1.36% to $34.35 on Globe and Mail report of potential bid from BHP Billiton (NYSE: BHP).

Yahoo! (NASDAQ: YHOO) jumped 1.15% to $33.83 ahead of quarterly earnings after the closing bell. Yahoo! is estimated to post its Q1 earnings at $0.37 per share on revenue of $1.08 billion. Macquarie upgrades Yahoo! from Neutral to Outperform.
