Japan reported a wider trade deficit in July.
Japan's trade deficit widened to ¥1.024 trillion ($10.5 billion) in July. However, economists were expecting a deficit of Y776.4 billion.
The country's exports climbed 12.2% y/y, versus economists' expectations for a 13.1% rise. Imports surged 19.6% in the month, versus estimates of a 15.4% gain.
