Baker Awarded PennDOT BPT Open-End Environmental Studies Contract Worth $4 Million

Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE MKT:BKR), has been awarded a five-year, $4 million open-end contract by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Bureau of Public Transportation (BPT) to provide services related to the delivery of a broad range of environmental services. Specifically, Baker will provide the technical resources needed for the development of PennDOT projects requiring an environmental impact statement (EIS), environmental assessment (EA), or categorical exclusion evaluation (CEE), as well as projects requiring lesser environmental documentation. Additionally, Baker may assist in the management of environmental issues related to planning, construction or maintenance activities and studies. Baker's Rick Robyak, P.E., vice president and program manager, said, “We are pleased to have been selected for this critical contract.
