announced today that John W. Diercksen and Adriane Brown have been appointed to serve as two new members of the Company's Board of Directors. The Board expanded its size from ten to eleven members and appointed Mr. Diercksen and Ms Brown to fill an existing vacancy and the newly created seat, respectively. Mr. Diercksen is currently the Executive Vice President at Verizon Communications, a leading provider of telecommunications and broadband services, with revenues of over $100 billion. At Verizon, Mr. Diercksen holds responsibility for key strategic initiatives related to the review and assessment of potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. From 2003 to 2012, Mr. Diercksen was Executive Vice President, Strategy, Development, and Planning for Verizon. In this capacity he was instrumental in forging Verizon's strategy of technology investment and repositioning its assets through the acquisition of spectrum including the cable spectrum transaction; the merger with MCI; the Alltel acquisition; the restructuring of international units; the spinoff of Verizon's directories unit and landline assets, and the Terremark and Cloud Switch acquisitions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Diercksen held a series of increasingly senior financial and leadership roles with Verizon, Bell Atlantic, and Nynex, among others. He earned his MBA from Pace University and his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Iona College. Ms. Adriane Brown is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Intellectual Ventures, a privately held invention capital firm that focuses on the creation of new inventions and the introduction of new models for monetizing inventions as stand-alone assets. Prior to joining Intellectual Ventures, Ms. Brown worked for Honeywell International, a Fortune 100 publicly traded diversified technology and manufacturing leader serving customers worldwide with aerospace products and services, control technologies for buildings, homes and industry, automotive products, turbochargers and specialty materials. She served as Senior Vice President, Energy Strategy from May 2009 to September 2009 and as President and CEO of Honeywell Transportation Systems from 2005 to 2009. Prior to Honeywell, Ms Brown spent 19 years at Corning, where she held increasingly senior roles and became VP and General Manager of Corning's Environmental Products Division. Ms. Brown earned both a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and a Ph.D. in Humane Letters from Old Dominion University.
