A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 38 points to 14,492.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 6.80 points to 1,558.00. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 14.50 points to 2,807.50. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.90%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.88%, French CAC 40 Index surged 1.43% and German DAX 30 index rose 1.25%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 1.69%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.07% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.42%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.61% and India's Sensex tumbled 0.29%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Goldman Sachs downgraded BlackBerry BBRY from “buy” to “neutral.” The target price for BlackBerry has been lowered from $19 to $17.
