Japan Posts Narrower February Trade Deficit

Japan's trade deficit narrowed in February, according to the Ministry of Finance. The country's merchandise trade deficit was 777.5 billion yen ($8.1 billion) in February, versus Y1.630 trillion in January. However, economists were expecting a deficit of Y876 billion. Japan's exports declined 2.9% y/y to Y5.284 trillion.
