US Stock Futures Down After Apple Earnings

US stock futures are lower this morning, after downbeat earnings from Apple

. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 87 points to 12,969.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 10.30 points to 1,397.90. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 16 points to 2,632.00. US stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.20% to 13,103.68, the S&P 500 index gaining 0.30% to 1,412.97 and the Nasdaq 100 index rising 0.15% to 2,986.12. The Commerce Department is scheduled to release GDP data for the third quarter at 8:30 a.m. ET. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 1.21% and India's Sensex dipped 0.70%. Nymex crude-oil futures declined $0.66 to trade at $85.39 a barrel in electronic trade, while gold futures fell $8 to $1,705 an ounce. The dollar index (DXY) fell 0.02% to trade at 80.07. The euro declined 0.02% versus the dollar to trade at $1.2933. The US dollar declined 0.47% against the Japanese yen to trade at ¥79.92.
