GM China Sales Rise 1.7% In September

Sales at General Motors Co

and its joint ventures in China rose 1.7% y/y to 244,266 vehicles in September. Sales at its joint venture with Shanghai's SAIC Motor surged 3.7% y/y to 120,010 units last month, while sales at its joint venture with FAW Group declined 5% y/y to 4,581 units. Sales at SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co rose 0.4% to 119,510 units. GM shares closed at $24.80 on Friday.
