Carlyle Group Names Former Jefferies CFO Joseph Schenk Operating Executive for Global Financial Services Group

The Carlyle Group CG today announced that Joseph A. Schenk, former Jefferies Group Inc. Chief Financial Officer and most recently Chief Executive Officer of First New York Securities LLC, has joined the firm in a consulting role as an Operating Executive in the Global Financial Services Group. As an Operating Executive, Mr. Schenk will provide strategic guidance to Carlyle professionals throughout the investment process, from sourcing to acquisition to exit, and advise portfolio company executives on management, operational and growth strategies.
