A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 59 points to 12,898.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 7 points to 1,355.50. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 14 points to 2,611.50. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index declined 0.02%, French CAC 40 index fell 0.23% and German DAX 30 index dropped 0.87%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 2.78% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 falling 2.19%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index declined 2.61% and India's Sensex gained 0.61%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Goldman Sachs downgraded Carnival Corporation CCL from “buy” to “neutral.” The target price for Carnival has been lowered from $31 to $30.
