US Stock Futures Up Ahead Of Economic Data

US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting personal income and spending data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 58 points to 13,136.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 7.20 points to 1,405.40. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 13.75 points to 2,772.00. US stocks closed mixed on Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.15% to 13,145.82, the S&P 500 index dropping 0.16% to 1,403.28 and the Nasdaq 100 index declining 0.31% to 3,095.36. Data on February personal income and spending will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Chicago-area purchasing managers' index will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET and final March consumer sentiment figures will be released at 9:55 a.m. ET. Feihe International Inc

Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 0.26% and India's Sensex gained 1.81%. Nymex crude oil futures gained $0.56 to $103.34 a barrel. Gold futures climbed $8.80 to $1,663.70 an ounce. The dollar index (DXY) declined 0.4% to 78.890. The euro rose 0.3% against the dollar to trade at $1.3344. The dollar fell 0.2% versus the Japanese yen to trade at 82.09 yen.
