US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 51 points to 12,917.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 6.80 points to 1,362.00. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 11.75 points to 2,631.75.

A Peek Into Global Markets

European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index dropped 0.74%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 0.54%, French CAC 40 index fell 0.74% and German DAX 30 index dipped 1.18%. Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average declining 0.80%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.64% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.23%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index dipped 1.38% and India's Sensex dropped 1.55%.

Analysts at JP Morgan upgraded Sonoco Products Company

from “neutral” to “overweight.” The target price for Sonoco Products has been raised from $36 to $38. Sonoco Products shares dropped 0.33% to close at $33.45 on Friday.
