Guggenheim to Rebrand Rydex ETFs Tomorrow (RSP, RYT, RYE)

Guggenheim Investments, the eighth largest U.S. exchange traded product provider with more than $11 billion in exchange traded assets, will rebrand the Rydex ETF family on Thursday March 1, 2012 under the Guggenheim name. Guggenheim acquired Rydex last in an effort to bolster its ETF lineup. That deal followed Guggenheim's 2010 rebranding of the Claymore ETFs it acquired when it purchased that firm. In total, 27 Rydex funds will take the Guggenheim name. Popular Rydex funds include the Rydex S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF RSP, the Rydex S&P 500 Equal Weight Energy ETF RYE and the Rydex S&P 500 Equal Weight Technology ETF RYT. The tickers and CUSIPs for the funds will remain the same. Last week, Guggenheim announced it will close eight ETFs in March including the he Rydex MSCI All Country World Equal Weight ETF EWAC.
