Weight Watchers Announces Expiration of Shareholder Rights Plan

Weight Watchers International, Inc.

today announced that the Company has chosen to allow its shareholder rights plan to expire in accordance with its terms on November 19, 2011, which corresponds to the tenth anniversary of the Company's initial public offering.  Shareholders are not required to take any action as a result of this expiration.
