PerkinElmer Prices Offering of Senior Notes

PerkinElmer, Inc.

announced today that it has priced an offering of $500,000,000 aggregate principal amount of 5.00% senior notes due 2021 at an issue price of 99.372% of the principal amount. The issuance of the notes is expected to close on October 25, 2011. The notes will pay interest on a semi-annual basis. The company plans to use the proceeds of the offering to fund, in part, the company's acquisition of Caliper Life Sciences, Inc.

. The aggregate purchase price of the Caliper acquisition is estimated to be approximately $600 million net of acquired cash. The Caliper acquisition has been separately announced by the company.
