story on the iPhone 5, claiming that it would be coming exclusively to Sprint's

Of course, this so-called “exclusive” story on a Sprint-exclusive iPhone stems from a tweet by the Wall Street Journal. “I have been going back and forth for weeks with one of my incredibly solid industry contacts on a piece of information that I couldn't really process at first — information that is so unbelievable, even from a source this solid, that I couldn't report it,” BGR wrote. “With this new WSJ report on an Apple/Sprint deal, however, it doesn't look so crazy.” While the Journal is not to be ignored, I share

. Besides: the
Journal's info
does not say that the iPhone 5 will be exclusive to Sprint; it merely states that Sprint is pouring buckets of cash ($20 billion) into 30+ million iPhones over the next four years. That's not really all that surprising, now is it?
