The Taiwan Capitalization Weighted Stock Index, or the TSEC weighted index, opened the Wednesday trading session in Taiwan at 8,878.10, which was slightly higher than the previous trading day's close of 8,870.76. The TSEC weighted index moved back and forth between negative and positive territory for the rest of the Wednesday trading session, ending the day down 4.41 points, or 0.05%, at 8,866.35.
