CNBC’s Jim Cramer commented on the Apple Inc. AAPL Watch Monday.

Cramer felt the Apple Watch would be a 2016 phenomenon and that over the long run, the device would be a success.

Assuming there would be approximately one million early adopters, Cramer felt that by 2016, "everyone will know that you have to have this as a device."

Cramer added that people under the age of 25, for example, would adopt the device because it is part of the Apple ecosystem while older consumers, with traditional watches, were still "trying to figure [the Apple Watch] out."

"It's something that the 16 year old is thinking, 'I'm going to college, maybe I should have the watch to go with the PC, maybe with the tablet [and] the iPhone,'" which Cramer suggested could also drive gift sales.

Cramer also saw the potential for sales of accessories, such as different bands, that could turn the Apple Watch into the "ultimate fashion accessory."

"My generation, felt the [traditional] watch was an accessory that looked good ; [the] new generation doesn't even regard it as an accessory at the wrist. Suddenly [the younger generation] will have a reason to look at the wrist, and it's the Apple Watch," Cramer concluded.
