U.S. Dollar Index Trading Lower, GDP Rises 1.9 percent

The March U.S. Dollar Index is trading at 100.95, down 0.17. The U.S. dollar index is trading at the session lows. The Bureau of Economic Analysis reported that real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 1.9 percent in the fourth quarter. The PCE price index rose 1.9 percent versus a 1.5 percent rise in the third quarter. The fourth quarter Core PCE Price Index rose 1.2 percent versus a 1.3 percent rise in the third quarter. The Census Bureau's reported a 0.1 percent decline in wholesale inventories during January versus a rise in December of 1 percent.
