Lean Hog Futures Lower

February lean hogs are trading at 65.82, down 0.27 cents/lb. April lean hogs are trading at 68.52, down 0.17 cents/lb. Lean hog futures are trading choppy and a little lower just after the open. Monday's USDA Hog slaughter 442,000 head versus 444,000 head last week and 437,000 head a year ago as this time.
